Solange SB Bernado
Mrs. Solange Bernardo, BSN, has been the Fracture Liaison Nurse Coordinator at AIMSS/Western Health since 2016.
Solange coordinates The Falls and Fracture Clinic a multidisciplinary medically led clinic which provide patients with a comprehensive state-of-the-art assessment on their risks of falls and fractures. At present, Solange is doing her Master of Nursing - specialising in chronic diseases and aging, she is also a member of steering committee for Australian and New Zealand Fragility Fracture Registry.
Solange has shared numerous continuing medical education programs with local GPs and practice Nurses in areas such as falls and fracture prevention, use of vitamin D and calcium supplements, and increasing treatment compliance by osteoporotic patients.
The Fracture Liaison Service lead by Solange was awarded with gold by International Osteoporosis Foundation a higher achievement for best care Practice.

In 2019, Solange received a prestigious Betsy Love McClung, FN, MN Travel Grant from ASBMR. And in 2022 Solange was a member of panel at The ASBMR Women’s Committee with topic of “Beating Burnout: tips and tricks for you and your team.
Solange has several publications with the AIMSS team and is a regular presenter at our scientific meetings.
